High Power
Semiconductor Power Conversion Field
Technologist
Reports to: Chief
Engineer
Opportunity: Will
be responsible for the design, development
and implementation of electrical and
electronics power system solutions
for our wide customer base. This includes
the full product life cycle from responding
to technical enquiries to concept,
design, analysis, testing, production,
installation, and support. You will
be solely responsible for developing
the industrial marketplace with an
unlimited territory with a focus on
High Power Semiconductors such as IGBTs,
and Converter Modules. Integrate new
products with fuses, capacitors, MOV’s,
selenium rectifiers and other components
with control circuitry to develop a
one stop shop for our customers that
provides engineering, sub assembly
manufacturing, and replacement parts.
Responsibilities:
- Generation of
electrical and electronic designs
required to support product development.
- Creation of
concept and functional diagrams
to solve customer product requirements.
- Generation of
design engineering documentation
for production - schematics, drawings,
BOM's, layouts.
- Support development,
testing and integration of IGBT’s,
Darlington’s and other power
components and assemblies.
- Perform various
analyses to support designs - functional,
electrical, mechanical, thermal,
power etc. Designing power system
solutions for older systems requiring
retro- fits and rebuilds.
- Assist in designing
modified solutions for front end
control circuitry.
Skills and Qualifications:
- An experienced electrical engineering
technologist with 5 or more years
of related experience including
experience working with OEM, MRO,
and industry Bachelor's degree
or equivalent in combination of
post secondary education and experience
in Electrical Engineering of High
Power Semiconductors and Power
Conversion.
- Strong understanding of power
systems and control circuitry including
digital and analog circuit design
concepts.
- Experience performing Industrial
Electronic Repair and repair of
Semiconductor Assemblies.
- Knowledge of automation control
systems, robots, AC/DC motor speed
control, servo and spindle drives,
board repair, PLC’s, PCB’s,
temperature controllers, chilling
plates and heat sink thermal dynamics,
test equipment and hardware desirable.
- Proficiency with hands-on hardware
building, testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience using electrical design/layout
and simulation software Operational
with electronic test equipment
(emulators, logic analyzers, power
supplies etc.).
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical
configuration and packaging of
high power semiconductors.
- Strong communication skills,
team player, and results driven.
Compensation: Depending
on experience.
Inside Technical
Sales Specialist - Peru, Illinois
location.
In this position we are seeking someone who will research, quote and provide
Technical Support to our broad customer base as well aggressively market to increase
sales worldwide. The qualified candidate will take inbound calls from potential
and existing customers, process and expedite orders and quotes, and service all
customer needs.
Requirements:
- 2+ years sales / order entry experience
- An interest in marketing
- Electrical background preferred
